HOW TO APPLY FOR A VISA TO VIET NAM

1. A visa to Viet Nam can be applied for by mail or in person at the Consulate of Viet Nam in New York. The applicant has to submit:

- An original passport (with at least 01 month’s validity prior to the date of exit from Viet Nam and/or 06 months’ validity to meet airlines’ requirements). In case of urgency, a loose-leaf-visa can be requested, in which case a copy of passport (photo and personal detail pages) must be submitted instead of the original passport.

- Visa application form : The form must be completed, signed and attached with 01 original photo (2 x 2 inches). For a loose-leaf-visa request, 01 additional photo is needed.

2. Processing Time: 05 (five) business days are required to process a visa application.

3. You can request your visa to be returned by mail by enclosing a prepaid and self-addressed envelope.

4. Fees can be paid in the form of MONEY ORDER or CASHIER’S CHECK (CERTIFIED CHECK) or PERSONAL CHECK or CASH to “THE CONSULATE OF VIET NAM IN NEW YORK”. Additional fees incur for expedited processing and loose-leaf-visas requests.
